THIRTY YEARS OF TV, CINEMA AND WORLDWIDE SPORT IN MILAN FROM 5 TO 9 DECEMBER WITH “SPORT MOVIES & TV”

Worldwide appointment for broadcasters, networks, houses of productions, producers, directors, Olympic Committees and Sports Federations, sports champions in Milan (Italy) – from 5 to 9 December 2012 – will be the seat of the celebrations of “Thirty Years of the Foundation of FICTS (Fédération Internationale Cinéma Télévision Sportifs, joined with 110 countries) recognized by the IOC during the “30^th Milano International FICTS Fest” worldwide event dedicated to cinema, Television and sports Communication organized within the “World FICTS Challenge” International Circuit articulated in 14 Festivals in the 5 Continents.

The “Palazzo Lombardia” headquarters of the Region will host Wednesday December 5 the “Opening Ceremony” of “Sport Movies & Tv” with leitmotiv focused on the 2012 London Olympic Games. The official videos “The best of London 2012” and “Rio 2016” will be introduced in preview at the presence of the IOC Delegates. The “Guest of Honor” at the Opening will be the President of Brazilian Olympic Committee and President of Organizing Committee 2016 Rio Olympic Games Carlos Arthur Nuzman that will be award with the “Excellence Guirlande d’Honneur” by FICTS President Prof. Franco Ascani.

During the Ceremony will be shown a video-tribute to “Edoardo Mangiarotti” the fencer with a lot of medals of all time at the presence of the Olympic champions of the past and the winning athletes at the 2012 London Olympic Games led by Giorgio Scarso, President of the Italian Fencing Federation that will be awarded with the “Guirlande d’Honneur” by the President of the Uzbekistan Fencing Federation Sabir Ruziev.

“TV Sport Emotions” is the topic that the FICTS – as an “International Federation of Sports Television” – has chosen for 2012, through different initiatives that actively involve the production of thousands of TV sports around the world. Friday, December 7 – the date of the “First” of the theatre “La Scala” – at “Palazzo Giureconsulti” (Piazza Mercanti, 2 – “core business” for four days of the Festival) will take place the “Awards Ceremony of The Best Of World Tv Sports Channel 2012”. On the same day there will be the awarding of the members of the “FICTS Hall of Fame” (see the list: http://www.fictsfederation.it/halloffame.pdf).

The International Jury – which this year will be the stylist and sportsman Ottavio Missoni as “Honorary President” – is selecting the works that will participate in the “30^th World FICTS Challenge – Beijing Worldwide Final of Championship of Cinema and Sport Television” organized by BODA (Beijing Olympic Development Association) from 7 to 11 November in Beijing (China) in the context of “8^th Beijing International Sports Film Week”.

On 9 December in Milan, the prestigious “Palazzo Reale” (Piazza Duomo, 12), will host the “Award Ceremony” with the participation of some of the  famous people who have made the history of FICTS in thirty ‘years of life.

In addition to screenings, Meeting, Seminar, Press Conferences, Events and Awards linked to international guests, is scheduled for the original show that traces – through new images – the thirty year history of the Federation.
