OSCAR OF SPORT CINEMA, “EXCELLENCE GUIRLANDE D’HONNEUR” FOR PAOLO SORRENTINO

The FICTS Executive Committee has decided to award with the “Excellence Guirlande d’Honneur” the Italian director Paolo Sorrentino Oscar for “Best foreign language film” with “The great beauty” at the 86^th Annual Academy Awards.

The highest FICTS honor, considered the “Oscar of cinema and sport television”, will be delivered by the President Prof. Franco Ascani during the “Opening Ceremony” of “Sport Movies & Tv 2014” scheduled in Milano on December 4^th, 2014. Paolo Sorrentino has participated in 2011 to the “BCN Sports Film – Barcelona International FICTS Festival” in Spain with a film dedicated to the values ​​of rugby. The “The slow game” is the title of the short film shot in black and white, to which have also collaborated other famous Italian directors Ermanno Olmi and Gabriele Salvatores.
