Francesco Ricci Bitti has been elected President of the SportAccord Convention, the annual gathering of international sports Federations as well as qualified organizers of multi-sports games and qualified sport-related international associations. Ricci Bitti, who replaces Marius Vizer, was chosen during a meeting of the Convention’s Executive Committee in Lausanne (Switzerland).

Actually Francesco Ricci Bitti is the President of the International Tennis Federation (ITF) and the Association of Summer Olympic International Federations (ASOIF) let alone Member of “FICTS Hall of Fame” and Honorary Member of FICTS – Federation Internationale Cinema Television Sportifs that promotes the sports values through the images in 113 Countries in the 5 Continents chaired by Prof. Franco Ascani FICTS President and Member of IOC Commission for “Culture and Olympic Heritage”.
The new President Ricci Bitti, during the presentation said “The SportAccord Convention has become today a major event in the international sporting calendar, not only for the sports movement, but also for the industry. I have always been one of its greatest supporters. When I was asked to consider the position of President, I accepted the honour and I am fully committed to continuing the successful development of the SportAccord Convention”.
Gian Franco Kasper, AIOWF President and Senior Vice-President/Interim Chairman of the SportAccord Council, was elected to the Executive Committee of SportAccord Convention at the meeting of the SportAccord Convention General Assembly also held earlier today.
