Critical and media acclaim for the 38th edition of “SPORT MOVIES & TV 2020 – MILANO INTERNATIONAL FICTS FEST” World Final of 20 Festivals (in 5 Continents) of Cinema, Television, Culture and Sports Communication Championship, this year for free, online with live streaming and on demand at the link www.mediasportgroup.tv (Main Partner dell’evento) and at Sky Channel 814 – MS Channel.

“Awarding Ceremony” – presented by Lorenzo Dallari – has opened with the regards of Prof. Franco Ascani, President of FICTS – Fédération Internationale CinémaTélévision Sportifs (recognized by IOC) and with a warm video-messagge by Dott. Thomas Bach International Olympic Committee President. He offered his congratulations to have carry out the initiative despite the difficulties because of Covid-19.
Mr. Gianni Canova, film critic and Rector at IULM University in Milan and Mrs. Laura Delli Colli, President of Union of Italian Film Journalist have been awarded the “Guirlande d’Honneur”, higher FICTS honor, considered the “Oscar of TV and Sports Cinema”.
Centro Culturale Sportivo “Asteria” hosted the entire event.
Awarded movies.“Guirlande d’Honneur” in “Olympic Spirit – Olympic values” category for “The Olympic dreams in a rural primary school” (BeijingOrganising Committee For the 2022 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games – P.R. of CHINA)”: a group of children dreams of competing in winter sports and living the magic of Winter Olympic Games.
“Opera Prima – Enrica Speroni Award” was assigned to “Believe it, do it, earn it” movie (UNC Hussman School of Journalism and Media – USA.): the story of a women field hockey team which faces the new season with more doubts than certainties.
“Candido Cannavò Award For Olympic Spirit”, dedicated to “historical” Director of “Gazzetta dello Sport” was assigned to “Sulle ali della Camera: dove il talento è di casa” (CCIAA Treviso-Belluno– Italy): a split of international economy for the enterprises in view of Milano – Cortina 2026 Olympic Games. “Taking refuge” (Olympic Channel – Spain) have received the “Bruno Beneck critics Award” to have conducted a reportage about olympic champion Niccolò Campriani’s project aimed at guiding three refugees towards olympic qualification. “Sport and culture power can change the history of a country“, like American one, is the central issue of “Negri. Sport in the USA” (Rooster Produzioni – Italia) which have been assigned “Sport and Solidarity Award – Daniele Redaelli”.
From November 7th to 11th, on the site homepage www.sportmoviestv.com were available, for free, 140 films in competition of 123 Countries and 17.787 sports-themed audiovisual products (Olympic Games, World Championships etc.) while all events was broadcasted in streaming (and they are on-demand) at the link www.mediasportgroup.tv (Main Partner of the event) on SKY Channel 814 d – MS Channel.
Festival would have been articulated in 6 locations spread in Milan (Palazzo Regione Lombardia, Ex Fornace, Fondazione Riccardo Catella, Centro Sportivo-Culturale Asteria, Centro Artistico Alik Cavaliere, Room 360° Immersive dell’Hotel Enterprise), with 140 Projections, 6 Meetings, 12 Exhibitions e 40 Guests. To avoid the restriction of spectator number due to COVID-19, the event will not be in the presence, but ONLINE LIVE with DIRETTE STREAMING and ON DEMAND for free from November 7th to 11th.
