"BRUSSELS EUROPEAN FICTS SPORTS FILM FESTIVAL": SUCCESS FOR FICTS AND PANATHLON

The Wolubilis (Woluwe-Saint-Lambert), new cultural center of the municipality of Woluwe-Saint-Lambert, in Brussels (Belgium), has host on September 17 the “Awarding Ceremony” of  the first edition of “Brussels European FICTS Sports Film Festival” (www.panathlon.be) European phase of the “World FICTS Challenge 2015” Worldwide Championship of Cinema and Sport Television.

The event, promoted by FICTS and directed by Jean-Pierre Brouhon, has been organized by Panathlon Wallonie-Bruxelles chaired by Philippe Housiaux who has granted the continuity of the Festival for the next years. FICTS President Prof. Franco Ascani attended to the Festival together with the winners of the competitive sections of the Festival, qualified guests from sports, cinema and journalism. The event, opened to the presence of 30 Olympic champions and world, recorded a success of audience including 1.500 youth of the Schools.

 

BELGIAN PRESIDENT OF SENATE HON. CHRISTINE DEFRAIGNE MET DELEGATION OF “BRUSSELS EUROPEAN FICTS SPORTS FILM FESTIVAL”

The President of the Senate of Belgium, Hon. Christine Defraigne, received, in official visit, the delegation of the “Brussels European FICTS Sports Film Festival” (in progress in Brussels in these days) led by FICTS President Prof. Franco Ascani, by Dr Philippe Housiaux, President of Panathlon Wallonia-Brussels and the Festival Director Dr Jean-Pierre Brouhon.

During the meeting, Prof. Ascani gave to the President of the Senate the “Manifesto of the Culture and Image of Sports” approved by the FICTS General Assembly on August in Kazan (Rep. of Tatarstan – Russia).

The fruitful meeting laid the groundwork for future cooperation connected to the European Festival.

 

“10 TASHKENT INTERNATIONAL FICTS FESTIVAL” IN UZBEKISTAN: 18 – 21 SEPTEMBER

The city of Tashkent (Republic of Uzbekistan) will host the “10th Tashkent International FICTS Festival” from 18 to 21 September. The Festival – directed by Dr Sabir Ruziev FICTS Vice President, President of Uzbek Fencing Federation and President of Uzbek Federation Cinema Television Sportifs - is organized by Uzbek Fencing Federation under the patronage of the Uzbek Olympic National Committee with the partnership of Begim Llc. There are 7 competitive Section of the Festival which will be articulated – besides projections of 40 videos coming from 18 Countries - workshops, exhibitions and meetings. The Opening Ceremony will be held on 18 September in “Republican House of Cinematographers”. The other venues of the Festival where will be scheduled events, meetings and sports viewing films are: the Museum of Olympic Glory of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the State Institute of Culture and Arts, Faculty of Film and Television University Communications, the Institute of Physical Culture of Uzbekistan, as well as various sport federations and schools.

The winners of the Festival will be in competition in “Exsport Movies & Tv 2015” Final of 16 Festivals of the “World FICTS Challenge” Worldwide Championship of Cinema, Television, communication and sport culture that will be held in Milano (Italy) from 27 October to 1 November 2015.

 

MILANO CAPITAL OF CINEMA, TV, SPORT AND CULTURE FOR EXPO 2015 FROM 27 OCTOBER TO 1 NOVEMBER

Milano (Italy), from October 27th to 1st November 2015, will host “EXSPORT MOVIES & TV 2015 - 33rd MILANO INTERNATIONAL FICTS FEST” special edition of the traditional worldwide event of Television, Cinema, Communication and Sport Culture organized during the period of Universal Exhibition EXPO 2015 (that gave its patronage to the event). The Festival is organized by FICTS - Federation Internationale Cinema Television Sportifs (presided by Prof. Franco Ascani Member of IOC Commission for “Culture and Olympic Heritage” and recognized by International Olympic Committee) that promotes the sports values through the images in 113 Member Countries.

Six days of Television, Cinema and sports Culture (free entrance with accreditation), 100 selected productions coming from 36 Countries (972 submissions from 55 Countries), 25 Worldwide premieres, 50 sports disciplines, 30 hours of Olympic unpublished footages, 900 Champions on the big screen, 12 screens with 4k images, 200 Directors and Producers, 210 accredited journalists, 202 Broadcasters involved. The prestigious venues that will host the event: the seventeenth-century Palazzo Cusani (Via Brera, 15 – Milano) will be the “Core business” with 100 Projections, 4 Meetings, 2 Workshops, 4 Exhibitions, 5 Side Events, 30 Awards of international guests while the Palazzo della Regione Lombardia will host the “Awarding Ceremony” (November 1st). The Festival, which will be also held in the range of “EXSPORT: Sport, Culture, Tourism for all” a “platform” of cultural, educational and sport International viewpoint for EXPO 2015, will become a meeting place of choice for operators and industry experts from all around the world including authors, media, international Networks (including representatives of the 1.172 television sports channels of 5 Continents), radio, houses of production, major, producers, directors, Olympic Committees and Sports Federations, advertising and communication agencies , that will show the whole universe of cinema and sport television through spot, reportages, fiction, cartoon, etc. in the 7 competitive Sections. “Exsport Movies & Tv” determines a strong media, tourism and economic impact in the region and it’s a significant “worldwide showcase” for the production of the 113 Countries that will compete for the award of the “Oscar of Cinema and sport tv”, the “Guirlande d'Honneur” which will be assigned to the winners productions and to Olympic and worldwide sports champions.

“BUENOS AIRES INTERNATIONAL FICTS FESTIVAL”: THE WINNER IS...

The “Salon Azul” of the Legislative Palace has host on August 31st 2015 the “Awarding Ceremony” of the “Buenos Aires International FICTS Festival” scheduled in Buenos Aires, capital of Argentina. The Festival, promoted by FICTS, has been organized in the framework of the “World FICTS Challenge 2015” by Libelula Tv Films Srl chaired by Alejandro Panno in collaboration with the Olympic Committee of Argentina.

The event, declared of “Cultural interest” for the Autonomy City of Buenos Aires, has been held in prestigious venues. The “Opening Ceremony” of the Festival has taken place on August 27 at the Theatre “Piazzolla Tango” while the “core business” of the event, with Projections, Meetings, Exhibitions, Side Events, Workshops and Awards, has been the Cine El Plata and the Dirección de Museos - CABA. The “Honorary Committee” will consist of: Prof. Franco Ascani FICTS President, Alicia De Morea, Member of the IOC Commission of “Culture and Olympic Heritage”, V. President of the Argentine Olympic Committee that is working actively in the organization of the Festival and Anna Tarrés Campa coach and the chief executive of the National Spanish synchronized swimming, Juan Bautista Segonds creator and President of the Fundación “Rugby sin Fronteras”.
