EXTREME SPORTS ON THE SCREEN IN MILANO FROM 3 TO 8 DECEMBER

Extreme sports, among works coming from production houses, producers and directors, Olympic Committees, sports federations around the world received so far to the Organizing Committee, will be protagonist on the screen to “Sport Movies & Tv 2014” held in Milano from 3 to 8 December.

“The motivation” (X-Treme Video – U.K.) highlights the performance of eight of the best professional skateboarders in the world as they prepare for the "Street League Championship" held in New York. Among family pressures, accidents and interior conflicts will compete for the title of best skater in the world. “Defeating seven oceans” (Red Bull Media House - Austria): the director Rouven Blankenfeld tells about the story of Stephen Redmond who must overcome, swimming, the seventh channel, the Tsugaru Strait (which separates the Japanese islands of Honshu and Hokkaido). The last challenge (14 hours of swimming in the open sea) to become the he first man to swim the iconic Seven Oceans.

 

MILANO (ITALY) AND TIANJIN (CHINA) TWIN THROUGH THE “WORLD FICTS CHALLENGE”

There are two absolute innovation for 2014 edition of "Sport Movies & Tv 2014".

The productions that will arrive to the Organizing Committee of “Sport Movies & Tv 2014” will compete in 2014 – with only one entry fee – in  “Sport Movies & Tv 2014 – 32nd Milano International FICTS Fest” scheduled in Milano (Italy), from 3rd to 8th December and in “Tianjin Worldwide Final of World FICTS Challenge 2014” organized – by FICTS in collaboration with the Jinghai County Government of Tianjin - in Tianjin (P.R. of China) from 6 to 11 October 2014. The seat of the event will be the “Juan Antonio Samaranch Memorial Museum” unique museum in the world for technology situated in the “Olympic Sculpture Park” covers an area of about 144,000 square metres. It’s a high architectural value museum due to the creativity, passion, enthusiasm and commitment of the Architect Ching-Kuo Wu, IOC Executive Member, President of the International Boxing Association (AIBA) and one of the world's leading experts of architecture. The “Tianjin Worldwide Final of World FICTS Challenge 2014” will be articulated in imposing Opening and Closing Ceremonies, Projection, Exhibition, Meeting, Side events, Awards of prestigious international guests of cinema, sport and television.

FICTS, starting from this edition, makes available for producers, directors that will submit their productions to “Sport Movies & Tv 2014”, the new innovative web tools, digital asset management system and digital sending via cloud through the digital platform of WCPMedia Services  who offers to all the participants, the possibility to use, the platform for free deposit on cloud and send in an efficient, fast and reliable audio-visual contents. PROGETTO “EXSPORT: SPORT, CULTURE, TOURISM FOR ALL” VERSO EXPO MILANO 2015

Il Progetto “EXSPORT: Sport, Culture, Tourism for all” (http://www.sportmoviestv.com/exsport), approvato dai Tavoli Tematici Expo Milano 2015 della Camera di Commercio inserito in “EXPO in Città”, entra nel vivo. Il Progetto consiste in eventi internazionali - articolati in Proiezioni, Mostre, Workshop, Premiazioni, Attività Sportive, Culturali e Turistiche Collegate - per i quali è prevista una significativa rilevanza mediatica. La marcia di avvicinamento, all’insegna dello slogan “Cultura attraverso lo sport”, è costituita da un “Road Tour” e da un “Crono-programma” (approvato il 26 giugno) – articolato in quattro fasi - che propone degli “eventi teaser” sul territorio milanese e lombardo. Le quattro fasi: 1° Fase “5 CERCHI PER EXSPORT – Powered by youth and education”:1 Ottobre 2014 – 30 Aprile 2015: attività interscolastiche sportive e formative articolate nelle seguenti 5 Aree che coinvolgerà oltre 41.000 giovani di 220 Scuole Primarie e Secondarie di 1° grado di Milano. 2° Fase ”EXSPORT PER SPORT MOVIES & TV 2014 – New Lifestyle: 3 – 8 Dicembre 2014: il tradizionale appuntamento internazionale in programma a Milano articolato in Meeting, Workshop, Mostre, Proiezioni, Eventi collegati, Conferenze Stampa, Premiazioni di ospiti nazionali ed internazionali con la partecipazione di 56 Paesi dei 5 Continenti. 3° Fase  “EXSPORT PER TUTTI”: 1 Maggio – 31 Ottobre 2015: Svolgimento delle attività diffuse sul territorio: sport, turismo, educazione e cultura per Milano e per la Lombardia nel periodo di EXPO 2015. Gli eventi attivi saranno articolati in diverse sedi con percorsi sportivo-culturali (con proiezioni, meeting, premiazioni, mostre, ecc.) aperti a tutti. 4° Fase EXSPORT E’ WORLD FICTS CHALLENGE – La Cultura attraverso lo Sport”: 1 – 18 Ottobre 2015: Finale del Campionato Mondiale della Televisione, del Cinema, della Comunicazione e della Cultura Sportiva 2015 preceduto da 18 tappe nei 5 Continenti che Milano, grazie alla FICTS, si è aggiudicata nel 2011, battendo le candidature di Pechino, Doha e Istanbul.
 

LIONEL MESSI PROTAGONISTS IN FIFA WORLD CUP AND ON BIG SCREEN. THE DOCU-FILM ON HIS LIFE IN "SPORT MOVIES & TV 2014"

The Argentinean footballer, Lionel Messi starred for his National football team at the World Cup Brazil 2014 arrives on the big screen. On July 2, in Rio de Janeiro, will be presented - a world premiere - the documentary film about him directed by Alex de la Iglesia who has adapted a script signed by the former Real Madrid sporting director Jorge Valdano, using images exclusive depicting four times the "Golden Ball" as a child "born imperfect" has become one of the best footballers of all time.

De La Iglesia began filming the documentary in Rosario (birthplace of Messi), then head to Buenos Aires and Barcelona. The Spanish director has visited the district "La Bajada" where is the house of the family where the player Messi has lived his childhood and he studied primary school where before traveling to Barcelona and start playing.


The cast includes prominent figures from the worlds of sports, including Cesar Luis Menotti and Alejandro Sabella and some Barcelona players.

The documentary, produced by Mediapro, has been invited to participate in "Sport Movies & Tv 2014" scheduled in Milan from 3 to 8 December 2014.

 

FICTS IN BRAZIL FOR FIFA WORLD CUP 2014 WITH THE “CINEFOOT WORLD CUP TOUR”

Kick off for the FIFA World Cup which will start on June 12 at the Corinthians Arena in Sao Paulo with the inaugural match between Brazil and Croatia.

FICTS is present in Brazil with the “Cinefoot World Cup Tour” event dedicated exclusively to audiovisual football. The itinerant Festival, organized by Antonio Leal, FICTS Member in the International Festival Commission, CINEfoot has been endorsed by the Brazilian Ministry of Sports to be part of the Official Agenda of the Federal Government to promote Brazil during the 2014 World Cup. After Rio de Janeiro, Sao Paulo and Belo Horizonte, the “Cinefoot World Cup Tour” will stop in 12 cities that will host to the world’s greatest football competition.
