The Official Film of the Olympic Games Rio 2016: preview at “SPORT MOVIES & TV 2017” in Milan on November 16th

Milano (Italy) will host, from 15th to 20th November, “Sport Movies & Tv 2017 – 35th Milano International FICTS Fest” (www.sportmoviestv.com), Final of 16 Festivals (around the 5 Continents) of the “World FICTS Challenge” Worldwide Championship of Cinema, Television and Sport Culture.

The Festival – under the slogan “FICTS Is Culture Through Sport” – is organized by the FICTS Federation Internationale Cinema Television Sportifs – joined with 116 Countries (chaired by Prof. Franco Ascani member of “IOC Culture and Olympic Heritage Commission”).

On Thursday, November 16th 2017 (6.00 p.m.), at the Sala Parlamentino of the Palazzo Giureconsulti (Piazza Mercanti, 2 – Piazza Duomo), will be presented in preview The Official Film of the Olympic Games Rio 2016: “Days of Truce” (Conspiração Filmes, Brazil – 2017, 90 min) of Brazilian director Breno Silveira (CREDITS attached, To watch the 2mn video click here).

This emotional documentary is the story of the Olympic Summer Games 2016, focusing on the experiences of people from all walks of life who contributed to their success: from the taxi driver to the star athlete, from the dancer at the Olympic Opening Ceremony to Popole, a member of the first Refugee Olympic Team. It’s a tale about the vibrant city of Rio de Janeiro, of cariocas at a dramatic moment of economic, political, and environmental crisis who rise up to the challenge and welcome people from all around the world in an unforgettable celebration of friendship, excellence, and respect.  The film produced by Conspiração Filmes is a powerful manifesto that explores how the Olympic values are relevant in our modern society (to find out more about the film visit www.olympic.org or contact pressoffice@olympic.org).

The projection will be preceded by the award ceremony of the oldest living Italian Olympic athletes: Irene Camber (91 years old, fencer, gold in Helsinki 1952 and bronze in Rome in 1960), Giancarlo Bergamini (91 years old, fencer, 1 gold and 2 silver in Helsinki 1952 Melbourne 1956) and Giuseppe Moioli (90 years old, rower, gold in London 1948).

Dr. Oreste Perri, President of CONI Lombardia, delegate of the President of the CONI National Dr. Giovanni Malagò, will intervene.
